I was pregnant with identical twin girls and we were so excited,we had picked their names,we
couldn't wait to meet them.I had to go for regular scans because twin 2 who was our Emily was a lot
smaller than Hannah her twin sister so they thought they should keep an eye on that and Emily's
bloodflow in her cord was nearly always absent which means it wasn't flowing very well and it was
very slow.The 10th April came around and i was only 33 weeks,they did a blood test and put me on the
monitor to make sure my babys were ok,both heartbeats were presant,they said to go and get something
to eat until they got the results of the bloods back,so this was well over an hour,the doctor came
and told me that i had a condition to do with the liver and i had to go for a scan right away.The
doctor was looking on the scan and she sat me up and she said Susan i'm so sorry but i can't find a
heartbeat for twin 2,i've double checked and i wouldn't say that if i wasn't sure,i'm so sorry.My
husband Andy and i were devastated.I had to get an emergancy section to get Hannah born so she
didn't die.
My poor tiny baby Emily had struggled through the pregnancy the entire time and she couldn't hold on
anymore,she gave up her wee fight and went to heaven.We miss her so much and there isn't a second
that goes by when we don't think of her,she is our angel and now she's in a place where she will
always be young and she will always be beautiful,we love her so much and i would climb up to heaven
tomorrow to bring her back,we all miss her so much.Kisses,cuddles,thoughts,prayers all for you my
darling,lots of love from mummy,daddy,Amy,Hannah,granny irene,granny Shelia,auntie Jenni,stepsister
